"Do all the good you can,
by all the means you can,
in all the ways you can,
in all the places you can,
at all the times you can,
to all the people you can,
as long as ever you can."

John Wesley, founder of the Methodist Church

At the beginning of the Methodist revival movement in the 1700's, when Englishman John Wesley sent Francis Asbury off to America, Asbury asked, "What shall I tell them?" Wesley replied, "Offer them Christ!"

At Mt Bethel United Methodist Church we offer Christ through our mission of OUTREACH; Outwardly Utilizing Talents Reverently Extending A Christian Hand.  Through signature ministries and partnering with local, metro, national & global agencies our zeal is to "offer them Christ!"

We are a supporter of Simley High School’s All-night Party, a special event held every year the evening of graduation for the senior class. This alcohol/drug–free celebration for our graduates is a great opportunity for kids to celebrate graduation with their class in a safe and fun environment.
Each year the celebration revolves around a theme chosen by the senior parents. The party includes games, activities, prizes and food.

Mt. Bethel Church serves the Inver Grove Heights B.E.S.T. Foundation through our time, talents, resources and prayers.  The BEST Foundation was created in 1988 to provide scholarships for students graduating from our Simley High School. The Foundation is separate from, but supportive of, the Inver Grove Heights Community Schools.  This year the IGH B.E.S.T. Foundation awarded over 100 scholarships totaling more than $164,000.

Imagine No Malaria is the effort of the people of The United Methodist Church, putting our faith into action to end preventable deaths by malaria in Africa.
Imagine No Malaria is a $75 million effort of The United Methodist Church to eliminate malaria deaths in Africa by 2015. Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church is a partner in achieving the goal of no more malaria

Our support to Imagine No Malaria goes to:
Prevention: Nothing But Nets an insecticide-treated mosquito netting remains the best way to prevent the disease of malaria.
Education: trusted, local individuals extinguish the myths about malaria and share the facts of accurate malaria prevention. Information is power, and information for prevention and healing is empowering.
Communication: help communities utilize existing radio stations and build new ones where they are needed to broadcast life-saving information to communities about preventing malaria.
Treatment: Malaria is treatable, if there is timely access to malaria drugs and health care. African hospitals need rapid diagnosis kits and life-saving medicines to treat people infected with malaria, including pregnant women and very young children.
