At the beginning of the Methodist revival movement in the 1700's, when Englishman John Wesley sent Francis Asbury off to America, Asbury asked, "What shall I tell them?" Wesley replied, "Offer them Christ!"

The vision of our Inver Grove Heights Community Schools is to create learning environments that provide for high student achievements so all learners are academically and socially prepared for life-long learning. A strong community support system is needed to fulfill our school's vision. Serving, we give special attention to Hilltop Elementary located just down the block from Mt. Bethel Church.
Mt. Bethel Church serves the Inver Grove Heights B.E.S.T. Foundation through our time, talents, resources and prayers. The BEST Foundation was created in 1988 to provide scholarships for students graduating from our Simley High School. The Foundation is separate from, but supportive of, the Inver Grove Heights Community Schools.

Neighbors Inc. a non-profit, social-service agency serving the Northern Dakota County communities of Inver Grove Heights, South St. Paul, West St. Paul, Mendota Heights, Mendota, Sunfish Lake and Lilydale. Neighbors provides emergency assistance and supportive assistance programs. Mt Bethel Church is one of the founding churches establishing Neighbors Inc. in 1972 and remains an active partner today.

Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church has a history of paying 100% of Apportionment to our Minnesota Annual Conference. In the United Methodist church the total amount of funds needed to support worldwide ministries of the United Methodist Church are apportioned to each United Methodist Church. Our apportionment amount is based on a formula established by our Minnesota Annual Conference.
