The focus is on people who have basic needs at risk. The endowed funds contributed are restricted from being disbursed-spent. Distributions come from the earnings, interest of endowed funds. Message Pastor David. You Are Here … Your Appointment With Life! God’s plan is that you live one moment at a time and Grow as a Person of Peace, Happiness and Contentment
Happiness ~ John 15:11 I have said these things to you so that my joy will be in you and your joy will be complete. Peace ~ John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you. I give to you not as the world gives. Don’t be troubled or afraid. Contentment ~ John 10:10 The thief enters only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came so that they could have life—indeed, so that they could live life to the fullest.

August 2021 Message from Bishop Bard; COVID & care of one another "Because the positivity rate has reached greater than 5 percent for the state as a whole, which means there is substantial community transmission, we are moving the dial back to yellow in our Phased Re-Gathering Plan for Churches. We understand there is great variation across our state in terms of community transmission and vaccination levels among your congregants, but please use caution. When your county surpasses a 5 percent positivity rate (check county’s current rate here), we ask that you reinstate the yellow phase guidelines of social distancing, indoor masking, and no congregational singing. After vaccinations, masking and social distancing are the next best tools we have for slowing the spread of the coronavirus, and slowing the spread also prevents the virus from developing into new variants. And of course, outdoor gatherings are considerably safer than indoor gatherings, so that is a great option as weather permits."

Warning phishing schemer thieves are preying on Minnesota United Methodist Churches, their leadership and members. The phishing schemer thieves manipulates a church leader's email address.
Last year, Pastor Dave experienced this and emails were sent to church members. Be aware.
It could happen again; it is happening to other Minnesota UM Church leaders right now. Be aware.
Please know that the leadership of Mt Bethel Church or the Minnesota Annual Conference will never be sending you an email requesting you send a church leader gift cards for some mission need. That is not how Mt Bethel Church or the MN Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church operates generous giving to those in need.

Our Unique, meaningful Ash Wednesday in addition to Mt Bethel's drive thru Imposition of Ashes. ... Clean Something. Ash Wednesday is a good day to get a jump on your spring cleaning. Spend an hour with the junk drawer, that cabinet at work, or organizing the files on your computer. As you remove things you no longer need and reorder those you do, be mindful of the ways God "cleans" us. The Bible tells us "As far as east is from west—that's how far God has removed our sin from us" (Psalm 103:12, CEB). As we get things in order, we remember that Jesus gave his life so that we might be free from our sins and know new life. Read More ideas for a meaningful Ash Wednesday
... Your faithful love is priceless, God! Humanity finds refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the bounty of your house; you let them drink from your river of pure joy. Within you is the spring of life. In your light, we see light. Psalm 36

Dear Friends in Christ in the Minnesota Conference of The United Methodist Church,
Like many of you, I have been watching in shock, disbelief, heartbreak, disappointment, and, yes, anger, the scenes coming from our nation’s capital. I am setting the anger aside. There is already an ample surplus, and it is not needed now. Never in my most disturbing nightmares would I have imagined an unruly mob breaking into the United States Capitol Building, sending legislators and staff into a protective shelter, and interrupting the work of the Congress—work integral to the peaceful transfer of power, which is an essential dimension of political democracy.
Like many of you, I have thoughts about who bears a measure of responsibility beyond those trespassing, threatening others, or breaking windows. There will be time for analysis and thoughtful debate about this later.
Right now, what is required is calm and a lowering of emotional temperature. What is needed is prayer. Prayer for those in danger. Prayer for those seeking to restore order to our Capitol. And prayer for peace, justice, and kindness. What is required of all of us is a deepening of our commitment to the common good.
I know you join me in prayer. God, grant us grace in our praying and in our work for the common good. On this Day of Epiphany, may we reflect light and love in all we do.
Grace and peace,
David Alan Bard, Interim Bishop, Minnesota Conference

Parting message from now retired Bishop Bruce Ough. It is time to take leave of the Dakotas-Minnesota Episcopal Area. Char and I are very ambivalent. We are eager to embrace the additional personal and family activities retirement affords. Yet, we will miss the people we love and the shared ministry we have enjoyed across the Area. Leave-taking has never been easy for me.
I am seeking to take my cues from the dynamics evident in Jesus’ leave-taking activities. His post-resurrection appearances and ascension were characterized by (1) compassion and companionship, (2) collaboration and handing-off, and (3) commissioning and blessing.
